On 30 September 2025 TRM held a round of discussions with artists and record producers about a possible Eurovision 2026 participation.

For the first time, the national selection will be coordinated by two official producers, selected for their experience and impeccable reputation in the music field:

Serghei Orlov – producer with the richest experience of participating in the international Eurovision contest, alongside various artists;

Roman Burlaca – local director and producer, recognized for his collaborations with the most popular local artists and for his contribution to the modern music scene in the Republic of Moldova.

In this context, TRM announces the start of the registration of competitors for the Eurovision 2026 National Selection starting on November 7. Artists can submit their original songs to the address: eurovision@trm.md

The registration period will be open for 30 calendar days, and all details regarding participation are available on the institution’s website.

Andrei Zapşa, deputy general director of public television at TRM, spoke about the value that Eurovision has for the public broadcaster:

“The Eurovision Song Contest is, for TRM, but also for the Republic of Moldova, a production of great significance. For this reason, this year we have changed the way the contest is organized and conducted, as a result of public opinion and following consultations with local artists and producers”,

Martin Green, the director of the Eurovision Song Contest stated:

“We are delighted to welcome the public broadcaster TRM from Moldova to the contest after a year of absence. Moldova’s return to the contest reminds us of the power of our community, the strength of values and what it truly means to be united through music”

The Republic of Moldova has been participating in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2005. Our country’s best result was in 2017, when the band “SunStroke Project” ranked 3rd with the song “Hey Mamma”.
