Polish National Selection Opens Submissions

TVP has this morning confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2026 as it launches its national selection.

Poland will compete in the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. On Pytanie na śniadanie this morning, TVP confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2026 and launched its national selection process.

Song submissions are open from today until November 24. The rules of selection are as follows:

All performers must at least 16 years old by May 1, 2026. All performers must be Polish citizens on the date of submission. Songs must be no longer than 3 minutes, must not be released or performed before September 1, 2025 and must not be demo versions.

Songs can contain lyrics in Polish (including dialects), Kashubian, languages of national minorities in Poland, English, French and Italian. Live performances may also include sign language. Songs must be created primarily by humans. AI tools may be permitted if humans retain creative control.

Any stage props must be approved by TVP and must be assembled and disassembled by four people within 30 seconds.

After the submission window closes, a selection committee will review all of the submission. Between November 27 and December 5, each committee member will select 10 songs and award points to them; 10 to their favourite down to 1 to their 10th favourite. Up to 20 artists will be shortlisted.

At least 10 shortlisted artists will be invited to live auditions in Warsaw on December 18. Some artists may be exempt from live auditions if the jury determines that they have sufficient vocal and stage experience.

A total of 10 artists will be chosen to advance to the live final. TVP will also chose two reserve entries and between 1-3 wildcards.

The Polish national final for Eurovision 2026 will take place on February 14. Public voting alone will decide the winner. In the case of a tie or a technical jury, a back-up jury decide the winner. The winner will represent Poland in Vienna.
