Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin expressed her support for the NewJeans members who announced their intention to return to their agency the previous day.
In a statement released on the 13th, Min stated:
“The members’ decision to return together yesterday was made after deep consideration and discussion. I respect and support that choice.”
She added:
“Although there were difficulties, I cherish the courage of the members who joined hands again to protect each other. I can start anew anywhere. However, I believe that New Jeans must be preserved as a five-member group, no matter the circumstances.”
“I hope the members will become stronger and become a better New Jeans in the future, and above all, I hope all five members are happy.”
She continued:
“Above all, I would like to thank the fans who supported New Jeans even during these difficult times. Please warmly welcome the members who have overcome their difficulties and are returning. I, too, will continue to support New Jeans’ music and growth.”
Lastly she stated:
“The lawsuit between me and HYBE is a separate lawsuit that has absolutely nothing to do with New Jeans. I am doing my best as an individual, and I hope the truth will be revealed. I ask for your support. Thank you.”
On the 12th, after a year-long exclusive contract dispute with ADOR, NewJeans announced that all members—following Haerin and Hyein, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle—had expressed their intention to return to the agency.
