Casting begins in San Marino on Thursday, November 20. The casting phase for the “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest” begins in San Marino on Thursday, November 20.
This contest is dedicated to emerging artists who wish to participate in the “San Marino Song Contest,” which in turn selects the Republic of San Marino’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Registration is open until January 20, 2026. “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest” has received over 300 registrations from 24 countries worldwide, with Spain leading the way.
The crucial casting phase begins in San Marino on Thursday, November 20 at the San Marino Outlet Experience. The first confirmed dates for these castings are November 20, 2025, followed by a second intensive session to be held from December 17 to 20, 2025.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the event, which will select the emerging artists destined for the “San Marino Song Contest.” This contest represents the first and fundamental stepping stone to Europe’s most coveted stage, ultimately deciding the Republic of San Marino’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest.
As was the case previously, only singers from San Marino, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, and Slovenia will need to attend casting in person. Those from further abroad can request an online casting if they do not wish to attend casting in person. Casting will cost €150.00 to participate in, and participants must enter with two songs that are eligible to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest
The ‘Stage & Live Academy’ phase will be formed of eight sessions, with 30 singers in each session. To participate in this phase participants must pay a fee of €150.00, unless the participant is from San Marino, then they will pay €50.00. Singers at this phase may only compete with one song.
From each session, a jury will select five singers to qualify for the semi-finals of the San Marino Song Contest. They will then compete in two semi-finals on March 3 and 4, formed of 20 singers each, and five acts from each semi-final will qualify for the final.
The final of the San Marino Song Contest 2025 will be held on March 7. 20 acts will compete, ten from the Dreaming San Marino Song Contest and ten established acts who are prequalified for the final. The winner will be determined by a five-member jury.
